BARGAINING IN BALI
No matter how much the vendors give as the opening price, you have to bargain for as much as half (for even less) of the price. It is better for you to go to the shop that has everything; t-shirts, shorts, wood handicrafts, etc. which means you will buy quite a lot, easier for you to get a bigger discount. Always walk away (walk slowly) from one shop to another if a deal cannot be reached. If you offer a reasonable price on a bargain, in which the vendor can still make some profits, the vendor would call you back to their shop as you walk away. Tell the vendor that if he / she gives you a good price, than you will tell your other friends to shop from them. Know the market prices, or, pretend you do will probably lead to a cheaper price. Bargaining is part of the culture and it should be a fun activity.

MONEY MATTERS
Our national currency is Rupiah. Always check the rate of exchange and commission (if any). To change your money, we strongly encourage you to recount your money right on the spot, in front of the money changer agents, if you can, bring your own calculator. Please check each note carefully as there are a number of (noticeably) fake notes in circulation. In cities, Travelers Checks and Credit Cards are widely accepted (Visa / MasterCard), though a 3 - 5 percent surcharge may be charged for Credit Cards. ATM machines are widely available. In outlying areas, be prepared with cash in small denominations.

DRIVING
Always expect the unexpected. You may rarely find public transportation service in order to reach for many tourism destinations in Bali, so that if you would like to get around, you have to use your own vehicle or rent from several cars and motor bike leasing with full insurance. Do not forget to bring along your driving license if you decide to drive your car on your own. Always keep your eyes open and your mind on driving. Beware of motorbikes! You are advised to use private driver, who is fluent in foreign language speaking and master in finding ways, so that you can more enjoy your trip, without being feared about lost.
